Are the people this place attracts the sort of people I want to spend time with and become more like? Is the system that is in place here one that pushes and cajoles and processes people to become more like the kind of person I’d like to be?

Not only do we tend to rewrite our memories according to the narratives we believe in at the moment, we are also easily influenced by word choices e.g. using the phrase ‘a car that zoomed past’ versus ‘a car that drove past’ can cause us to believe different things.
Memory is less so a recording or a catalogue, but more like vapour.
What do you gain by doing this? And what do you lose?
Know how to leave things alone, for if knowing how to refuse is one of life's great lessons, an even greater one is knowing how to say no to yourself, to important people, and in business.
