Dear Future Self,

I'm no longer trying to become you.

Not because I've given up,

But because I finally understand:

You emerge from how gently I hold this moment,

Not from how fiercely I chase the next one.

Ken Wilber talks about how we can't think our way to the next level of development - we have to live our way there.

This explains why I can understand concepts intellectually for years before they actually transform how I operate in the world.

Knowing isn't the same as being. Integration requires embodiment, not just comprehension.
