Storytelling: A tremendously useful tool to increase the longevity of your message in the audience’s mind. Stories spark emotions. People use stories to make sense of things. People learn from stories.
If you want to be more effective when sharing yourself and your work, you need to become a better storyteller. You need to know what a good story is and how to tell one.
Stories are very powerful. They grab and hold attention. But they do more than that. They also help people process information and they imply causation.
Telling our own story vastly increases our chances of connecting to our audience through relatability, authenticity, and most importantly, vulnerability.
