Understand your ego barrier.

Every relationship we have in life reflects the relationship we have with ourselves.

When we surrender to the force of love and discover this higher level of relatedness, we feel radiant and connected not just to another person but to all of existence. We also feel that the universe is becoming more whole through our unity with each other.

People who are one way on the inside and another on the outside become conflicted and often lose touch with their own values. It’s difficult for them to be happy and almost impossible for them to be their best.

In previous stages, the pursuit of love, recognition, and success shapes our lives slowly but surely to the point that we end up, in the words of poet May Sarton, “wearing other people’s faces.”
