Heart rate readings are roughly accurate but horribly imprecise

Just as Instagram’s rise amplified the world’s obsession with physical aesthetics, avatars that abstract our physical selves can decrease it. A focus on our physical appearances is arbitrary: does it matter that I am attractive? That you are? Why? How is the conversation we have different if I mask my gender, age, ethnicity, shape?

What investors pay attention to when analyzing potential investments in the space: large TAM and scalability potential (i.e. volumes!), community, a ppeal to a diverse audience, u tility of the NFTs / Social Tokens & fan tokenomics,  GTM and distribution strategy, and s tatus, connections & influence of key members / team.

-What if companies could submit anonymized data or contracts into “dark pools”, and receive programmatic recommendations for solutions?

Mike Moritz was our board member from Sequoia. Anyone who has ever met Mike or read his writing knows that he has a special way with words. In this meeting, he delivered a simple and devastating message: if we didn’t change – immediately – we would go out of business. It was the single worst meeting of my career.

But we don’t see — let alone understand — what is going on behind the scenes, behind the simple appearance. We are kept in the dark.
