Instead of wishing it away, of being annoyed and angry at it, we can love our body’s response and thank it for communicating with us so clearly, letting us know that our attention is needed elsewhere.
You spend more of your time worrying, ruminating, and focusing on what you hope doesn’t happen than you do imagining, strategizing, and planning for what you do.
My life used to be a shadow novel. It had plot, characters, sex scenes, action scenes. It had mood, atmosphere, texture. It was scary, it was weird, it was exciting. I had friends who were living out shadow movies, or creating shadow art, or initiating shadow industries.
