This is not about making a new script or vocabulary. It is about contextual and transcontextual shifts. Ecologies move in inter-relational ways — Bateson said this 80 years ago, and his father, William Bateson, said it in 1888. Indigenous cultures have been saying this for thousands of years.

Radicle Civics are the emerging, entangled roots whose growth and nurture are vital for commons-centric civic infrastructures. To enable their development – and encourage cultures of equity, freedom, safety, and sustainability – we require a series of deep code innovations, so let’s now shift our focus towards systems change.

Our future cannot be made by burning the “red-tape” but instead by making it agile and evolving it in all senses to make it fit for purpose. This is a future in which we need to simultaneously design markets fit for the 21st century and design for markets fit for the 21st century – only in rapid synchronicity can we move forward.
