Maybe my “Build-a-lex” collection should go into my Anki. God knows that needs some work.
My house plants became healthier and died less often once I stopped tracking their watering, stopped trying to use moisture meters or other tools, and learned to pick up on their vibes instead.

What amazes me is the lack of understanding that a measuring device is another layer between what you see and want to measure. Sure it can be insightful to measure things and understand what they are but the more complex that gets, you're adding more layers to it, essentially widening the gap between you and the thing in question
