- When we sing in the shower, we hardly expect applause. In fact, that would be awfully weird.
But online, when just about anyone might be clicking, watching or sharing, it’s disappointing to put your work into the world and hear nothing.
Nothing but a black hole that absorbs your best work and reflects nothing back.

Our ideal outcome as a company is not becoming the next Facebook (god forbid), it’s becoming the next Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan, a hot spring hotel in Japan, and one of the world’s oldest businesses (founded in 705 AD).

- sometimes people ask something like “do you think this could work?” and I sorta waffle around on it but I realize my truer answer is something like: it’ll probably work IF *you* believe it will work and *you* commit to making it work for 7+ years
