There’s a difference between an AI agent and an AI copilot . Language matters. The latter implies more of human augmentation, rather than human obfuscation. I imagine copilots and augmentation will be more palatable to people. (This will be especially true as we adjust to the reality of software doing work for us .)

Having a beginner’s mind doesn’t mean being naïve. It means resisting the reflex to slot new inputs into old categories. When we approach a system—or a person—as if we already understand it, we stop noticing what doesn’t fit. Complexity gets filtered out in favor of confirmation. Everything done at an agency has several audiences. Bad work happens when you pick the wrong one, and unfortunately, you will be constantly encouraged to pick the wrong one.
