The eternal spark

Set the fire and burn. Let them look on in awe and terror. Let them feel the sweat begin to bead up on their skin. Let new fires catch.

Rigidity is the enemy of creativity but routine can be a road opener to the stuck creative. The problem isn’t in how you schedule but what you do in the timeframe. A routine based on play and freedom will only serve to encourage creative pursuits, whereas chaos invites one to fall into destructive habits.

Burnout comes from trying to meet some invisible, external expectation. Pressure is introduced when art turns from creation into performance, because the act of performing implies observation and therefore critique.
