The point the journalist makes about a digital speedo replacing an analogue one is exactly this point about no such thing as luxury software.

What’s interesting here is that Quantitative = squandering. Examples being ‘100 waiters when one will do the job / using 3 matches to light a single cigar.’
The web is infinite. Software offers no limits. Hence software is - by this definition - has negative connotations.
