If someone tells you motherhood is pure bliss and they love every single minute of it - trust me, they’re either skipping chapters or only choosing to frame the sunshine, never the shadows.

I was not weak. I was just mothering in a world that expects me to raise a baby like I don’t have a job, and work like I don’t have a baby.

Sometimes the love doesn’t hit like a tidal wave.

Sometimes it grows - quietly, stubbornly - like a wildflower through concrete.

And that’s motherhood too.
