Unconditional love is not the same as abandoning yourself. You can love someone as they are and know it isn’t right for you to be with them.

Conditional love means: "Please hide parts of yourself so I don't have to feel uncomfortable.”

Love without boundaries is self-abandonment. Loving someone is indistinguishable from honoring your own needs. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen someone confuse codependency with love.
