This goes so hard when it’s recognising how romanticised being a solo business owner is, to outsiders and to wannabe entrepreneurs themselves
I write to validate that the things I do, my practice, my ideas, the lessons I’ve learned, and my writing have value. It’s a gratitude practice.
How simple can my job description be? But also, talking about defining my job description in the first place, I’m thinking why define it in the first place? How do you get clear on the labels that feel good to you vs the labels that other people might use to define your job.
How do I find a job that I like or maybe even love? • How do I build a career that will make me a good living? • How do I balance my career with my family? • How can I make a difference in the world? • How can I be thin, sexy, and fabulously rich?
Two decades and a half in education and I’ve learned none of this
I’m not a complete person and I don’t want to write from that place. I’m still incomplete, why force myself to speak from the pedestal of someone who has all the answers and has learned to steer clear of ambiguity?
