Interstellar made a lot of money to the profit selling wheat for the film. They built a wheat farm instead of cgi and it was a better investment than hiring a cgi studio.

I think it’s generally human nature to overestimate risk and overestimate opportunity. And I think people in general would be well advised to try to bias against that piece of human nature.
