While standardized scores help to create efficiency in understanding how effective a teaching program is or efficiencies in recruiting for something, benchmarking systems of learning around those scores undervalues unique learning styles and unique approaches to winning within kids. Its sad that a lot of kids are not given the space to create a habit of learning according to what works for them and contributing to the world from those learnings till they breakout of secondary school to live a more independent life. What would a world look like where teachers were equipped with independent learning plans not just for special education students but broadly for cohorts of students with similar learning styles but different within a classroom.
