Devine character

As the Arabian caliph Umar ibn Al-Khattab wrote, “He who does not live in the way of his beliefs starts to believe in the way he lives.”

He fought falsehoods deeply rooted in culture and identity. His greatest task wasn’t to defeat armies. It was to defeat blindness . The blindness of arrogance. Of inherited belief. Of tribal pride.

mām Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah (رحمه الله) said:

“An action that is done without sincerity and uprightness is like a traveler who fills his bags with sand on the road — carrying a heavy load that brings him no benefit, only burden.”

Do what you can't, until you learn that you can.

Values act like a sieve: they filter out the empty cravings that come from comparison and they let through only the things that genuinely serve your spirit.
