I think part of the reason why people don’t see conviction and commitment on the same level is because the are no metrics to measure the first and there is an entire economy build on the second.
I have found it useful to make the distinction between consistency in my own process and consistency in my output. Sometimes, I need both. Sometimes, I need one and not the other. Sometimes, I have to let them both go.
