Science has indeed come a long way. However, we should remember how much remains unknown. Physicists have identified only ~4 percent of the matter that makes up the universe. The remaining 96 percent is labeled “dark matter” and “dark energy.” We know something is there, but we don’t know what it is—and it’s the vast majority of the universe!
