Danu (Dana, Anna, Anu, Don, Donn)-Descended from Nemed, shape shifter. The Mother Goddess of the Tuatha De Dannan, associated with wisdom and control over all things. Air of air, associated with the staff, abundance, and prosperity. In stellar mythology, the constellation Cassiopeia honours the Goddess in its name, Llys Don, or Danu's House.

Danu (Anu and Ana) is one of the very oldest earth goddesses and is the matriarch of the Tuatha dé Danann. She is also the mother and daughter of the Dagda and possibly another aspect of the Morrigan.

Ananke derives from a root that spreads through Old Egyptian, Akkadian, Chaldean, and Hebrew terms for “narrow,” “throat,” “strangle,” “constrict,” and the yokes and rings laid on the necks of captives.18 Ananke takes you by the throat, holds you prisoner, and drives you like a slave.
