What to do instead :(1) Create on platforms that grow over time (i.e. essays, books, articles, search engine optimized video or audio, and other content that gets shared by people in your industry and brings you the opportunities you need for your massive mission).

Social media is similar to sharecropping :
- We’re "renting" space on a platform we don’t own
- We’re paying for that space by becoming “the product” whose attention is sold to the highest ads bidder
- Our attention is also being usurped by the makers of the platform and what they’ve programmed their algorithm to show us, and
- Our data is being collect

(5) Commit to finding a way to organize your ideas, thoughts, research, inputs, and content... such that you save time as you publish new work (and so you don't lose ideas or miss important connections between concepts).

(4) Acknowledge the tradeoff that is happening when you focus only on doing the work (helping clients... which is important), instead of also codifying and communicating the work.

Sharecropping is where the landlord allows a tenant to use the land in exchange for a share of the crop. This encouraged tenants to work to produce the biggest harvest that they could, and ensured they would remain tied to the land and unlikely to leave for other opportunities.

(2) Use social media to codify and communicate your framework before someone else does.

(6) Create a repeatable system for yourself so that you can “upcycle” (make a better version of) each seed of an idea you develop. Publish each idea into better formats (essays/books/evergreen workshops, etc.) and important publications in your industry (to get your ideas in front of the right people and give you extra credibility).

(3) Do your best to work past the perceived and real barriers (i.e. time, imposter syndrome, etc.) to speak your truth and publish your content.
