ystems archetypes are one class of tools that capture the “common stories” in systems thinking— dynamic phenomena that occur repeatedly in diverse settings. They are powerful tools for diagnosing problems and identifying high-leverage interventions that will create fundamental change.

If we go deeper to the level of systemic structure, however, we can begin to see what creates the behaviors we observe, and then take actions to change the struc-tures.
