The practice of choosing creativity persists. It’s a commitment to a process, not simply the next outcome on the list. We do this work for a reason, but if we triangulate the work we do and focus only on the immediate outcome, our practice will fall apart.
The less energy we waste regretting the past or worrying about the future, the more energy we will have for what’s in front of us.

The desire for recognition is probably a natural desire. So are you going to keep rolling downhill in order to receive recognition from others? Are you going to wear yourself down like a rolling stone, until everything is smoothed away? When all that is left is a little round ball, would that be “the real I”? It cannot be.
“Thank goodness for that! Saving someone’s life always puts a spring in your step for the rest of the day.”
