The perpetual boredom and lack of direction and "not knowing what's out there" and dulling your natural bodily signals and needs. It's scary to realize something so simple could completely change your perspective and outcome of life.

Think of your life like a garden :

• If you only water work, the rest withers.


• If you never pull out the weeds (aka boundaries), they take over.


• If you “hope it sorts itself out,” it won’t.

I do something similar to this with reading, I enjoy non-fiction, but I have a rule that after reading a non-fiction book, to read a fiction book to 'cleanse the pallet' so to speak. And trust me, reading a fantasy book about opening a coffee shop (Legends and Lattes) helps after reading a book on the history of the Chinese Cultural Revolution.

hard work also means smart work.

Pushing yourself in training is only half the equation.

The other half is giving your body the chance to adapt, rebuild, and come back stronger.

Without recovery, “hard work” just turns into wasted work .
