In this animation by @mtdbri, roughly 460 subway trains make their way through New York City, with each second representing three real-life minutes. Serving the boroughs of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx, the NYC Subway contains 850 mi (1,370 km) of track and has a daily ridership of approximately 3.6 million people.
