We wanted the cedar look without breaking the bank, so we used cedar fence pickets for the slats and only splurged on full cedar boards for the trim boards.  @cabotstain Australian Timber Oil in Honey Teak really made the cedar pop while offering awesome protection from harsh UV rays. It also gives it a mold and mildew resistant finish which is great because I want this cedar to continue looking new for years to come!  P.S.
