Kehilat Hadar succeeded because it had a resonant vision, was willing to define clear boundaries while remaining open to anyone hoping to share that vision, and energized hundreds of people to take hold of their own Jewish life and express it in community.

rabbis as teachers are in critical demand. And after a year running Hadar, I knew that my life’s focus was not only to build one specific community but also to spread the model of Empowered Judaism.
