Quickturn PCB service in the US is typically slower than JLC in Shenzhen and many times the price, upfront capex to spin up a competitive service would be >$20m, plus another $10m in inventory And you’d probably have to buy a shop already known to DoD to serve defense business

Take a look at JLC for cnc if you haven’t recently, they’re doing instant quotes now at ~40% Xometry prices. This kills off a lot of 3d printing for me, just cut aluminum. A motor housing that is mostly hollow and not optimized? Quantity 1, under $100, shipped. https://t.co/aJkd7JU9Ho
