Things are as they are. That's all we need to know. When I realize that I'm living in the simplicity of no-alternatives, then I free myself up to figuring out how I can adjust me, instead of the world. Instead of trying to wrap the world in leather, I can just put on a pair of shoes.

There’s a poem by Jacque Prévert that sums up this basic confusion quite well. He wrote: I am what I am I was made like this What more do you want What do you want of me
