Become acutely aware of who or what it is that is aware. Notice that it is not your idea of yourself that is aware, but rather it is awareness recognizing itself as awareness—your fundamental Being.

Start with the acknowledgement, the fact, that you--are already That. Be alert and pay attention to your immediate livingness. Deal with whatever needs to be attended to, from and AS this Presence - Awareness.

This is the radical implication of Hegel’s notion of Entäusserung. There is not first an inner Idea that is then subjected to an external fate in the world, and there is not first an inner self that is then dependent on the recognition of others. Rather, any Idea and any sense of self must from the beginning be externalized in the material practice
