ACA literature told us things about ourselves we didn’t know.

through the Twelve Step program of ACA that we no longer live life from a basis of fear. We live with self-care and love.

Many of our members who have worked remarkable Twelve Step programs in AA or Al-Anon come to ACA to further address their shame and feelings of being unwhole. They have made good progress elsewhere, but they sense something is missing. While working ACA’s Steps, these members may realize a new bottom or the work needed to seize a deeper sense of

In ACA, we believe we were born whole and became fragmented in body, mind, and spirit through abandonment and shame. We need help finding a way to return to our miracle state.

We unintentionally passed on our family insanity or distorted thinking.

The Higher Power is patient as it seeks to help the adult child find wholeness and integration of a divided self.

“inside drug store.” The shelves are stocked with bottles of excitement, toxic shame, self-hate, self-doubt, and stress. Other shelves include canisters of lust, fear, and worry.
