In the NFT space, many believe buying NFTs is by default curation or creating a gallery to list NFTs for sale is curation. For example, many decentralized curation protocols incentivize third parties to create exhibits to sell NFTs presuming high quality curation can be incentivized with sales commission.
One way to put this is that people are really good at metaphorical limbo. No matter where we set the bar, we're great at being just under it. I'll call this the Limbo Effect.
Theoretically, decentralized data puts more power back in the hands of individuals. Now instead of large, centralized entities owning and selling user data, users will own their data and have more control over how they share that data.
If the new American Dream is defined by “creative expression, online influence and extreme optionality” over linear moves up the corporate ladder, then LinkedIn is enough to make any Millennial or Gen Z jobseeker cringe.
