A flipped office would work the same way, knowledge work (the vast and blurry category most appropriate for remote work) happens from home offices and perhaps hyperlocal coworking spaces, while some meetings, workshops, and lighter work more easily done in a shared space, happens at the office.
I don’t expect some technoutopian version of school where everyone is being taught online, sitting in their home learning in VR headsets to happen anytime soon. The burden on parents is too high, and the social function that schools perform (lunches, babysitting while parents work, etc) is too crucial.
If someone wants a meeting, see if they will do a call instead. If they want to call, see if they will email instead. If they want to email, see if they will text instead. And you probably should ignore most text messages—unless they’re true emergencies.
