this substack article got me thinking about a lot of things. first of all, i can’t really tell if my brain is rotting. i don’t really spend much time on social media scrolling, but i do consume a lot. some of the suggestions i have picked up already. i am learning a new language, i read a lot, and listen to podcasts that i find interesting to broaden my knowledge about different topics. however, i still crave creativity and critical thinking. i consume more mindfully, but i still consume. as the article suggests, i need to let myself be bored, but i feel like i don’t have time. i may be overly productive. is there such a thing? i workout a lot, go to school, work on homework, work on my business to hopefully earn money on the side, i go to work twice a week. letting myself be bored feels like a waste of time. is it?
