Just getting in touch with one’s feelings often brings no change, just the same feeling over and over. One must let a larger, wider, unclear felt sense form.
What is a professional, anyway?
Embarrassment—I did something that made me uncomfortable, but I know I’m not alone. Everyone does these kinds of things. Embarrassment is fleeting, sometimes funny.
“What would come, in my body, if this problem were somehow all solved?” Whatever your mind answers, you wait until you sense what comes in your body. Then you let that be for a little while.
Problems. When we think in terms of problems (rather than solutions), it’s a way to avoid having to take on new, potentially frightening challenges.
Now apply this to your brain. You may get very used to sharing new skills with your close friends but then try to share them with your family and freak out. This doesn’t mean the skills were garbage. It just means you’re not used to the new situation yet.
