A torch song is a sentimental love song, typically one in which the singer laments an unrequited or lost love, either where one party is oblivious to the existence of the other, where one party has moved on, or where a romantic affair has affected the relationship. The term comes from the saying, "to carry a torch for someone", or to keep aflame
... See moreLoretta, I love you. Not like they told you love is, and I didn't know this either, but love don't make things nice - it ruins everything. It breaks your heart. It makes things a mess. We aren't here to make things perfect. The snowflakes are perfect. The stars are perfect. Not us. Not us! We are here to ruin ourselves and to break our hearts and love the wrong people and die. The storybooks are bullshit. Now I want you to come upstairs with me and get in my bed!

The sin eater is a person (mostly someone sort of poor, who needs the money) that was hired at a funeral to consume a ritual meal (consisting of bread, salt and sometimes beer or milk) on order to take on the dead person’s sins, so they could go to heaven
The sin eater was feared, avoided and excluded from the community (people weren’t allowed to look them in the eyes during the ceremony for example)
