I’ve been feeling for the past while that I’m a late bloomer and that many great experiences lie ahead of me.
Being a late bloomer isn’t just about growing or maturing, it’s also about finally building the courage to see oneself differently and go against all the programming that one was raised on. I look forward to becoming that person.
Craig writes about that unsettling truth — that my attention is no longer mine and I have to fight to get it back. A resonant piece that reminds me to keep trying.
Late bloomers spend a lot of time cultivating themselves. They often experience life as a long, organic process, where decisions emerge out of previous experience. They are always becoming themselves.
“What have I done in my life that I loved doing?” Instead of a million different options from out there, you’re suddenly left with a manageable handful of options from within your own experience. Instead of trying to hitch your star to an endless black hole of options, you hitch a ride on your rewarding past.
