7 out of  a16z ’s latest Marketplace 100 are resale marketplaces.  2 of these 7 are in the top 10 (GOAT, StockX).  Since last year, 3 resale marketplaces “graduated” via IPO or acquisition (Depop, 1stDibs, Tradesy).

Resale is growing 3X faster than retail fashion.  3X—ThredUP estimates that the global secondhand apparel market will grow 3X faster than the global apparel market.  8X—in North America, it’ll grow to $82 Billion by 2025.
