Is it better to hire a friend you trust and risk that it goes wrong and they’re not your friend anymore? Or, hire a stranger without knowing if they could ever be your friend?
While you want to see glimpses of progress and meaning in your work, you want to be focused more on the impact/meaning of your labor versus the labor itself.

What is my purpose in life?
Your problem is that you equate your purpose with goal-based achievement. The universe isn’t interested in your achievements . . . just your heart. When you choose to act out of kindness, compassion and love, you are already aligned with your true purpose. No need to look further.
