Alex Ellesubstack.comI went to a networking event with former colleagues and current friends a month after leaving my job and two months after ending a long term relationship. I had move into my new, own apartment that week. Just beginning my new chapter after closing massive ones.
Everyone I hugged told me I was glowing and looking a certain kind of radiant. I hid and joked it was a new concealer, but to be honest, I felt it too. I felt lighter and returning to a version of myself I forgot existed.
This was also a reminder to myself to tell a woman when she’s shining. Hearing it means so much when you’re feeling it.
