The verb form of the word “home” refers to animal behavior.
- (of an animal) return by instinct to its territory after leaving it.
Where do you return to? Where do you go by instinct? What is safest?
Home could be a person, it could be a place. It could be just a memory.
Home means instinct. It means the safest place.

My home on Crandall Street in Binghamton post graduation. The first place I ever paid my own rent. The place from which I currently live and work.

My mom on a walk in the evening. Whitelands road. I love this photo of her. I feel like she looks so beautiful, even though she wouldn’t think so. My mom is old and young at the same time.

The Beach in Michigan. My home every summer of my life. My dad would come here every summer too. My grandmothers lifeboat during the Great Depression. They lost their house in Chicago and moved here. This place has held together generations. We go from beach to the cottage to the beach. We get lost going to the movies. A place of magical nothingness. Waves. Storms. Family dinners.

Our property in the wintertime. In this photo you see The Studio (my dad’s world), the woodshed (he built it), his truck, and the old wooden playhouse we had as children. Now it stores bikes

Our families at The Frozen Rainbow. The icecream place we would go to after dinner at the river. Mom, dad, Lara, Kai/Kate, Indira, and Jennifer (Mark is not pictured) My dad loves me and I know it because of this expression.

North Carolina. This place represented to me authenticity within suburbia. I love this photo and I had such a difficult time on this trip
