David Bowie says that the act of creating - art or music - isn’t something enjoyable. It’s painful. Dysfunctional. Even as someone who isn’t an “artist”, the best things I’ve ever done sort of sucked while doing them.
I love how every room in the home evokes a different feeling, some more dramatic than others. It’s opulent but not overly so, even with multiple chandeliers!

Excellent writing that stands in stark contrast to the NYT music critic’s piece on the topic.

From when I saw Jadé Fadojutimi’s exhibit last year. Her work, truly remarkable and evocative. Some critics say she doesn’t live up to the hype - I think they’re wrong. But what do I know?

I’m not sure I get this but I love it. Could stare at it for hours.

Nikes been up lately. A really great ad. Why? Because it highlights something so special to Black girlhood and you can tell that Black women were involved in this.

I can’t really paint or draw but I want to paint this.
