because of the male loneliness epidemic, women often become tasked with the emotional labour of men - being their sole emotional support and sometimes pseudotherapist. Women are socialised to be this way, to “fix” men. Like a kind of mothering role. A mothering of the partner.

Why are men more “homosocial” than women? I want to know more about the concept of homosocial - where does it come from, is it new, how do we address it? Stuff like this reaffirms my interest in sociology.
