Play to Earn

The genius of @rabbithole_gg is underrated. Protocols wildly overpay for user acquisition through liquidity farming and staking. Farmers are mercenary and jump to the next best opportunity as soon as rewards fall.

Crypto gaming and play-to-earn is a misnomer. “True” gameplay is expenditure of time by the player for sacred entertainment value, not secular economic value. That sacred value can later be monetized, but by being financially motivated first, the atomic value swap (1/4)

I am so confused by the “play-to-earn” model 😭 Players earn tokens by winning battles, and other people buy tokens from them in order to participate in the game. What happens when demand from new players fails to cover payments to old players? What am I missing?
