One of the first steps we can take towards generating internal accountability is to develop an assessment of why the world is as it is. This requires us to leap from the uninformed faith we have in the societal myths we were given as children, to the informed faith that we need in order to co-create the real world as adults.
Every interesting outcome in my life was unpredictable and was the result of good habits, strictly practiced.
This is the opposite of “vision” “big, hairy, audacious goals” and “accomplishments.”
The best kind of success is continuous, every day, not occasional.
Are you playing on easy mode or hard mode? What can you do to put things on an easier setting? Go back to basics. What’s one thing you can do today that will make tomorrow easier? What can you can do this year that will leave you in a better position for next year?
If you haven’t stepped out of your comfort zone in a while, it might be time to try.
Experiencing the unfamiliar allows us to practice being agile, because we’re not always able to default to our usual cognitive response patterns in new contexts.
