I wrote this to direct my energy toward hope and possibility, because things are very grim right now. Sharing in case it can be helpful for you too. May I also suggest looking up “PalFest how empires end” and watch the livestream recording before you go to bed or while you’re getting ready in the morning. It’s powerful, and speaks to the importance of naming things for what they are. “We must use language, or language will use us” was a memorable line from the opening remarks. Please continue showing up. Or start, if you haven’t been. Perfection isn’t the goal. It’s all a practice, even using your voice, making calls, sending emails, having tough conversations. I’m sure as heck not doing this perfectly but I’m very committed to trying. There are millions of us around the world doing this alongside each other. There’s too much at stake to stop ♥
