This week is Mental Health Awareness Week created by Mental Health Foundation đź’š
Mental health is something I've always been a huge advocate for and something that we should prioritise all year round.
Mental health is something that we all deal with, and weeks like these are the perfect opportunity for reflection and education around the topic.
After years of working to achieve a balance of good mental health, I've established a list of lessons which will hopefully help at least one person by sharing this:
- Journaling doesn't need to be a daily ritual, do it as and when you need to
- Therapy isn't the big scary thing it's made out to be
- Your friends do want to listen and they do care
- Work should never come before prioritising your mental health
- Seeking help isn't something to be afraid of, it's something to encourage others to do with you
- A problem shared is a problem halved
- Don't underestimate the power of exercise
Mental health affects us all and we all need to get better at opening up about it.
Check out the Mental Health Foundation website for support/resources and how you can make a positive change by supporting this year's Mental Health Awareness Week.
