Grab a couple kettlebell and try this out! ✨ I LOVE compound exercises that work multiple muscle groups at the same time. 🐴 Riding is a full body sport that is constantly using different muscles simultaneously, so I believe that it is the best way for us to train out of the saddle. The Gorilla Row is such a great exercise because it not only targets your upper body, it challenges your core stability and lower body strength and endurance too! 🫶🏽 SAVE AND SHARE! 💪🏽 #RIDEFIT

🏇 Common Half Seat & Two-Point Mistakes (and How to Fix Them!) Big shoutout to this rider who has worked hard on her rider physio homework and made amazing progress in her riding over the last two months! 🙌 🔻 Common Mistakes (How They Connect): 1️⃣ Upright Upper Body & Limited Hip Flexion Prevents you from absorbing the horse’s movement and also leads to ➡️ 2️⃣ Tipping Forward Your center of gravity moves ahead of your base, making you unstable, which then means ➡️ 3️⃣ Swinging Lower Leg Legs move backward as your upper body tilts forward, often because of ➡️ 4️⃣ Quad Dominance Relying too much on quads instead of engaging glutes and hamstrings shifts your weight forward and disrupts balance, eventually resulting in ➡️ 5️⃣ Needing the Reins for Balance If your core and legs can’t hold the position, you’ll end up relying on your reins to stay upright—disrupting communication with the horse. 🔑 The Fix: Targeted off-horse exercises strengthen your hamstrings, glutes, and core, helping you maintain a neutral pelvis and stable position. With stronger muscles, you’ll stay balanced, absorb movement better, and stop relying on your reins for stability. 💡 Mastering these skills off the horse translates directly into a more secure and effective position in the saddle. 👉 Sign up for the Rider Physio Video Subscription for exercises tailored to riders, or book a session on the simulator to get a full assessment! 🔗 www.pegasusphysio.co.uk #riderbiomechanics #riderfitness #riderphysio #horseriderproblems #horseriders #riderposture #horserider #riderposition #riderrehab #equestriansimulator #mechanicalhorse #horseriding
