By collecting our knowledge in a centralized place outside of our own heads, we can create an engine of creative output – a “second brain” – to advance a career, build a business, or pursue a passion. By making this knowledge digital , we can reap the benefits of searchability, backups, syncing between devices, sharing with others, and more.
I love this way of viewing it: “an engine for creative output”. To my brain, it feels necessary to have everything neatly organized —- that’s when the chaos and overwhelm fades away. If I have a system I can trust to keep growing wildly, flowing with my interests unrestrainedly, then my brain enters calm confidence. And that’s when it comes: that massive wave of creative inspiration and outflow. And my nervous system feels calm and ready, excited even, to welcome it all with arms open wide.
